Throughout his career, he has been honored to dedicate his efforts to supporting diverse underserved and vulnerable communities, including those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and mental health challenges. As an aspiring social scientist and social engineer, he is committed to driving change for all individuals and societies.

Beatriz Guerrero

Board Secretary

With a deep commitment to her community, she has dedicated her entire life to serving others. Throughout her journey, she has actively participated in numerous nonprofit organizations, including Dallas Area Interfaith and the Catholic Diocese of Dallas. Her extensive involvement in these organizations has provided her with a wealth of experience in various areas, such as public policy, community outreach, grassroots campaigns, and nonprofit program management. Across the years, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the prosperity of others.

 

 

Jeffrey Thoreson

Jeffrey Thoreson, a skilled executive, has held key roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer throughout his career, demonstrating excellence in driving revenue and fostering business growth across varied landscapes, from startups to turnaround scenarios. With a sharp acumen for analyzing business catalysts, he formulates strategies that anchor corporate expansion, nurturing strong relationships locally and internationally. His distinguished career includes notable achievements, such as leading transformative visions and elevating sales from $70 million to an impressive $175 million within a span of six years.

Matt Goynes

Board Member

Matt Goynes is a marketing and sales executive with 20 years of experience working for some of the largest Fortune 100 companies in the world, including Expedia Inc. and Twitter. Matt has been an early innovator in the mobile app marketing space since 2010, as well as a leader in the early-stage tech startup space, with 3 out of the 4 startups having successful exits. Matt is currently the VP of Sales for Pixability, a brand suitability and performance partner of YouTube. In his personal life, Matt spends his time being a father of two amazing girls and a husband to his wonderful wife, Tonya. Matt is an avid outdoorsman and spends a lot of his spare time at his ranch in West Texas. Matt is a proud Christian and a true believer in helping others and leading life with integrity and honor.

Sabrina Townsend

Board Member

Dr. Sabrina A. Townsend currently serves as the Global Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging for World Wide Technology. Dr. Townsend enjoys helping organizations transform, develop, and expand leaders, manage employee relations, and create new cultures of work where everyone feels included. She has also served as an adjunct professor for 12 years, teaching various psychology courses, including DEIB-related courses. She is a certified DEI trainer and holds a yellow belt certification in Lean Six Sigma. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, live music, and her biggest joy is spending time with her family and friends.

Rebecca Frock

Board Member

Rebecca has over three decades of experience in behavioral healthcare in New Mexico. As a passionate professional, behavioral health leader and clinician, health equity advocate, and life long learner, Rebecca is a difference maker. She leads Clinical Services development as the Director for a start up in Albuquerque, NM. She designs and oversees all clinical programming for New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare, an 80-bed treatment facility that will accommodate behavioral health needs for youth and families by providing Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Residential Treatment, and Inpatient Psychiatric care.​ She pursues excellence in care delivery specializing in creative solutions to complex challenges for both rural and urban populations. She helps individuals, families, teams, and organizations discover and operationalize their purpose.

Niraj Krishna

Niraj has a Bachelor in Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India and a Master degree in Management from Lacy School of Business, Indianapolis. Niraj brings over three decades of experience in Information Technology, he has spent over two decades working in Healthcare industry working with fortune 100 companies like CVS Health, Elevance Health, and Eli Lilly. Niraj is currently working with Quant Systems, A Sonata Software company as Head of healthcare and life sciences sector. Niraj lives in Flower Mound. He has two adult kids in college pursuing their education in Computer Science and Pre-Med discipline. In free time, Niraj likes to Cook, travel, and play sports (Badminton, Golf, and Pickleball).

Neeta Toprani

Board Member

Neeta Toprani is a legal executive with over 20 years of global experience within the medical device, life sciences and tech industries. She is currently the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Nuvve Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: NVVE) and previously served as General Counsel for Establishment Labs Holdings (NASDAQ: ESTA) and as Division General Counsel for Zimmer Biomet Holdings (NYSE: ZB). She began her career as a corporate and securities attorney with the multinational AmLaw firm, Morrison & Foerster LLP.  She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in physics from the University of Miami. Neeta enjoys helping organizations reach their potential while mitigating risks and complexity and her personal interests include international travel, mindfulness, sailing, documentaries and spending time in nature.

Timothy L. Sutherland

Board Member

Timothy is a global leader in banking and finance technology with over 27 years of experience working at the world’s largest FinTechs. A leader in cutting-edge technology changes, Timothy recently joined HealthEquity as a director for a next-generation Cloud Operating Model and Modernization initiative. Having traveled to over 60 countries for personal and work, he has witnessed what education and action can do for individuals and communities worldwide. Timothy has a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialty in Mathematics. He holds multiple technology certifications, has published industry and peer reviewed articles on computing and data performance, DevOps, SRE, Agile, and platform modernization using cloud native technologies.

Jeanine Powell

Board Member

​

Jeanine Powell had a 30 year business career in accounting and computer software. She was responsible for implementation, data conversion, customer service, business plans, and inter-departmental communications. She later became an English teacher, working primarily with disadvantaged and nontraditional students. Ms. Powell completed a Bachelor’s in Business (1986), a Master’s in Literature (2006), and is ABD in a Doctorate of Liberal Studies at SMU (graduation in 2024). Volunteer work has included a mentoring program for teenage girls, disaster management for the Red Cross, being a docent at the Dallas Museum of Art, and working in a teenage residential home.

D. Christopher Decker

Board Member

D. Christopher Decker recently served as Project Manager for a “One-UN” rule of law programme entitled Sawasya in Palestine. He previously served in Nepal and Kosovo for the United Nations Development Programme and the Director of the Department of Human Rights and Communities for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) Mission in Kosovo. Mr. Decker was formerly a Senior Researcher at the European Centre for Minority Issues where he served as a legal adviser assisting the Romanian Deputy Prime Minister and the Department of Inter-Ethnic Relations. Mr. Decker has a B.A. from Purdue University, a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Essex, England.

Drew Schillinger

Board Member

Drew Schillinger, with over 25 years in the software and cloud engineering industry, has been influential from teaching programming at Full Sail University and to his work at Disney Imagineering and Adult Swim. An early proponent of AWS and cloud computing, he significantly contributed to NBA Digital, managing services for 50 million viewers, and played a pivotal role in launching HBOMax's authentication services and their first GPT chatbot. Holding an Executive MBA in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech, his commitment to diversity shines through his roles as a DEI Ambassador and mentor at IAAMCS. Currently the CTO at OnRise Care, Drew applies his tech acumen to mental health initiatives and is proud to serve on the board at the Center for Societal Aspiration, focusing on AI to aid the homeless in Dallas.

Bryce Carter

Board Member

Bryce Carter is a nationally recognized technology and cybersecurity executive, dedicated to leveraging technology to develop a more innovative, resilient, and inclusive future. As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Assistant Director of Information Technology for the City of Arlington, TX, he has devised strategies that help foster innovation, improve lives, and protect the city's critical services. A visionary, Bryce serves on various advisory boards, influencing future policies and technologies. He gives back to the community by mentoring future leaders in technology and cybersecurity. Outside of the office, Bryce is most often found navigating and hiking some of the largest mountains in the United States.
